It would be our pleasure to have you picked up from the airport/train/bus station upon request (charge required). We will welcome you with chanting of the Sanskrit mantras, the traditional way of greeting our guests here at the Panchkote Raj Ganges.
After your long drive you can enjoy a cup of herbal tea while your luggage is being taken to your respective rooms and take the time to relax for a bit. You may also indulge in the services of our henna artists, who would be ready to apply artistic designs on the palms of your hands.
As the evening progresses we will have a boat ready for you to take you on an exotic journey on the holy Ganges. Watch the mesmerizing scenes from the Aarti while riding along the river. Once this journey is complete, we will regroup at the compound where dinner, all vegetarian, will be prepared.
The next day, accompany us in viewing spectacular sunrise from the temple compound. The sunrise from across the lawn is a truly magical experience. Next, the morning cruise will be waiting for your arrival to take you to watch the “SubahBenaras”, which offers you cultural programs by local artist. After this, join us for an authentic Indian yoga experience. Yoga, apart from its spiritual nature, serves as a tool to alleviate health problems, reduce stress and strengthen the spine.
After this session, join us for breakfast and prepare for the next part of our Varanasi journey. First we will take you to Sarnath, the place where the Lord Buddha gave his first sermon to his five disciples. Next, you will be taken to the Ramnagar Fort where the present Maharaja, or King, of Benares resides. Finally, you will be taken to the Benaras Hindu University, the largest university in Asia. Inside the museum here, you will be given an insight on the Indian art and culture from the area. Now, you will regroup back at Panchkote Raj, where you will prepare to walk along the ghats. After walking around and discovering what the city of Varanasi has to offer, we will return back to Panchkote where your authentic Indian/Benarasi dinner will be held.
